After the storm

Well, it's been a while since I created this little room for my modest thoughts and opinions. Anyways, after this crazy month of September, it's time to give it a go and try to make this work.

A touch of humour

We all know that Oscar Wilde was a master of wit. He left us lots of clever thoughts to have a good laugh at. Not as witty as Wilde, here you have some funny jokes to have a good time.
joke (noun): something said to make somebody laugh; a trick played on somebody for fun.
to joke (verb): to make jokes; not to be serious.
Enjoy yourselves:

Two Balloons

Two balloons are floating across the desert.
One balloon says to the other:
"Look out for the cactussssssssssss!"

Genie joke

A woman is walking along a beach when she finds an old oil lamp.
She picks it up and rubs it, and out comes a genie.

The genie says to the woman, "Thank you for freeing me from the oil lamp.
I will grant you three wishes, but whatever you wish for, your horrible ex-husband will get twice as much. What is your first wish?"

The woman says, "I'd like a million dollars in my bank account, please!"

The genie says, "You now have a million dollars in your bank account,
and your ex-husband now has two million dollars. What is your second wish?"

The woman says, "I've always wanted a nice car. I'd like a brand new
Rolls-Royce, please!"

The genie says, "You now have a new Rolls-Royce in your garage
at home, and your ex-husband now has two new Rolls-Royces.
What is your third wish?"

The woman thought for a while and then said, "I'd like you to remove one
of my kidneys, please!"

The Importance of Being Earnest

"Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much."
- Oscar Wilde -

Oscar Fingal O'Flahertie Wills Wilde (16th October 1854-30th November 1900) was an Irish playwright, poet and author of numerous short stories and one novel. Known for his biting wit, he became one the most successful playwrights of the late Victorian era in London, and one of the greatest celebrities of his day. Several of his plays continue to be widely performed, especially The Importance of Being Earnest. As the result of a widely covered series of trials, Wilde suffered a dramatic downfall and was imprisoned to do two years of hard labour after being convicted of "gross indecency" with other men. After Wilde was released from prison, he left Britain and never returned home.
